TitleThe Mixture
DescriptionFrom 1928 - 1939, the Christmas edition of Boots employee magazine The Bee (for store employees) was called The Mixture. This was traditionally a larger edition and the majority of content was contributed by employees, including short stories and poems, the results of the annual photographic competition and other light-hearted articles.

The circulation increased from 8,000 in 1928 to 15,500 in 1938. The Mixture was sold to raise money for The Mixture Fund which made grants to retail employees who were in difficult situations at the time.

Mainly black and white, contains photographs and illustrations.

From January 1940 - December 1947 The Mixture replaced The Bee and The Beacon (for office and factory employees) as the magazine for all employees.
