| Activity | John Savage was born on 18th November 1895 and attended Mundella Secondary School in Nottingham. He joined Boots in September 1911 as an Office Boy. J P Savage served in WWI as part of the Royal Army Medical Corps. He went on to become Administrative General Manager of the Company. On the 19th March 1942 it was announced that Savage had been appointed to the Board of Directors. He became Chairman and Managing Director of Boots The Chemist in 1954, a post he carried out until 1961. |
