| Activity | W C Church was born on 9th December 1870. He joined the United Drug Co. in 1910 as the manager of a branch in Chicago. He came to the UK in 1914 as manager of the British Branch of the company which had it's headquarters in Liverpool. When Boots was acquired by the United Drug Co. in 1920, Mr Church became a joint Managing Director of Boots Pure Drug Co. Ltd. He held this position for 15 years, latterly in the role as Vice Chairman, until his retirement in October 1935. He died in 1955. |
