The committee was known as the Research Panel Executive until late 1945, and reconvened for its first meeting as the Research Executive in March 1946. The Research Panel Executive resulted from a proposal of the Research Panel for an Executive to co-ordinate TRC's research policy, deal with business matters of the Panel, and make recommendations to the Board. The Committee met monthly, in advance of the full Panel meeting. |
