Administrative History | Research facilities expanded considerably after World War II and the appointment of Sir Jack Drummond, F.R.S as Director of Research. At the time the company's research interests included pharmaceuticals and medicinals, fine chemicals, and veterinary and horticultural products. The department employed chemists, biochemists, physical chemists, bacteriologists, mycologists, pharmacologist, parasitologists, veterinarians, entomologists, and plant pathologists.
